The homiletic corpus of Severus of Antioch offers a wealth of information as to how this important sixth-century theologian conceived of his pastoral ministry. This analysis first focuses on his exordia, and then specifically using the concepts of authentication and rejection, explores the manner in which he approaches the question of Christology. This work then turns to the examination of his thinking about daily life, especially in relation to the poor.
